NABIP’s Legislative Council is primarily responsible for developing the formal positions that guide our legislative strategy. This group of representatives from all of NABIP’s regions and national officers uses a formal policy review process to determine recommendations for policies reflective of our membership’s views. Once approved by the Legislative Council, they must be approved by the NABIP Board of Trustees, and are then used to inform the positions we take in comment letters that we submit to federal agencies.
