NAHU's numerous contests and competitions offer members a chance to be acknowledged for their membership recruitment and retention efforts throughout the year.

NAHU's GAIN contest (Get Agents Involved Now) rewards members, chapters
and regions that excel at recruitment and retention. Check out the competitions

Monthly GAIN contest scores are typically posted around the 15th of the
following month.

Overview: YOU as an individual recruiter have the opportunity to win $100 - $500 in CASH!
Flyer/GuidelinesQuarterly Contests
Overview: In an effort to increase attention to membership recruitment throughout the year, NAHU will institute four quarterly membership contests to run concurrently with the annual GAIN contest.
Time Periods:
1Q - May 1 - July 31 First Quarter Standings
2Q - August 1 - October 31 Second Quarter Standings
3Q - November 1 - January 31 Third Quarter Standings
4Q - February 1 - April 30 Fourth Quarter Standings
Who is Eligible?: Local chapters, state chapters and regions.
Scoring System: Scoring will be determined by NET GROWTH RATE during the contest period (membership at end of period / membership at start of period). Net growth rate places an equal emphasis on recruitment and retention and is chapter-size neutral. Therefore, there will be no distinction between large/small chapters or states.
Recognition: Winning chapters/regions will receive banners to
be presented as follows:
1Q - Presented at Regional Leadership Conference
2Q - Presented in time for chapter holiday party
3Q - Presented at Capitol Conference
4Q - Presented at Convention
All winners of the quarterly contests will be recognized during the Awards Breakfast at convention, and will be announced in The Leader.
Effect on GAIN Contest: The GAIN contest remains unchanged, and will measure total members recruited, percentage growth and retention over a 12-month period beginning May 1. Chapters that perform consistently well in the quarterly contests can expect to place highly in the GAIN contest as well.
100% NAHU Board
Honors each local, state or regional board where every member recruits at least one new member between May 1, 2007 and April 30, 2008.
The following awards are given for the GAIN competition to one small and one large local chapter and one small and one large state chapter. A regional award is also given in each of the categories.
Recruiter of the Year
Honors the member who recruits the most new members in the last year.
Highest Growth Rate
Honors the chapter, state and region (each) that shows the highest growth
rate for the past year.
Highest Retention Rate
Honors the chapter, state and region (each) with the highest retention
rate for the past year.
Most New Members
Honors the chapter, state and region (each) adding the most new members
during the past year.
Kevin P. Corcoran Cup (National Membership Drive)
Each year, the region scoring highest in three different categories (most
new members, highest growth rate, and highest retention rate) is presented
with the coveted silver NAHU Cup. One state and one chapter in each of
the large and small categories is also awarded the honor of GAIN winner
for that year.
NAHU Bucks
Receive $5 in NAHU Bucks for each member you recruit. NAHU Bucks can be
redeemed for NAHU dues, meeting registrations and other NAHU products
and services.
