Voluntary/Worksite products are not new to the employee benefit industry. However, the surge of interest in these products has accelerated in recent days as employers seek ways to help attract and retain talent. The industry has responded swiftly with new products, new features, new enrollment technologies and many changes to the underwriting rules of these products. his additional opportunity has created new responsibilities for agents, brokers and consultants as advising clients in this area will differentiate their value to the consumers they serve.

To address this evolving opportunity, NAHU has created a new three-hour Voluntary/ Worksite Certification course. Completion of this course will ensure a strong technical knowledge of the rules and regulations pertaining to various types of voluntary/worksite products and proven methods for communicating those options to employers and employees in a compelling way.

Gordon Memorial Award Dinner

We are excited to announce that the Gordon Memorial Award Dinner, sponsored by Aflac, will be held on Tuesday evening in the Oceans Ballroom of The Georgia Aquarium! You will not want to miss

LPRT Event

A special reception will be held for LPRT Qualifiers on Monday evening at 8:30 p.m. at the World of Coca-Cola. Guests will enjoy a dessert buffet and hosted bar while enjoying the World of Coca-Cola exhibits.

LPRT Soaring Eagle Symposium

Sunday Opening General Session

Our Keynote Speaker on Sunday is Robert Stevenson, one of the most widely sought after public speakers in the world today, and a best-selling author. Having owned several companies, established and maintained hundreds of international accounts, and maintained a worldwide sales force, Mr. Stevenson is a man who has been there. You will be hearing from someone who not only knows what to do, he has done it. He has not just studied business and what makes companies and people successful, he has made it happen. He has held positions from salesman to chief executive officer. Mr. Stevenson will show you how to deal with our ever-changing industry, rising above the competition by minimizing risks, while making the most of any opportunity. He has spoken to over 2,500 companies throughout the world and interviewed over 10,000 employees, managers and senior executives in over 250 different industries. He calls upon his vast knowledge of what he has learned from some of the most innovative, resourceful and powerful companies in the world along with what he learned running his own companies and shares this wisdom with his audiences. He is a true master at blending facts, inspiration, conviction and humor into all his programs.

Monday Morning Session

Congressman Tom Price was first elected to represent Georgia’s 6th district in November 2004. Prior to going to Washington, Price served four terms in the Georgia State Senate – two as minority whip. In 2002, he was a leader in the Republican renaissance in Georgia as the party took control of the State Senate, with Price rising to become the first Republican Senate majority leader in the history of Georgia.

In Congress, Rep. Price has proven to be a vibrant leader, tireless problem solver and the go-to Republican on quality healthcare policy. He serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means, as well as the House Committee on Education and the Workforce. In the 113th Congress, Price was named vice chairman of the House Committee on the Budget. In previous Congresses, he has served as chairman of the House Republican Policy Committee and chairman of the Republican Study Committee. Committed to advancing positive solutions under principled leadership, Price has been a fierce opponent of government waste and devoted to limited government and lower spending.

For nearly twenty years, Rep. Price worked in private practice as an orthopedic surgeon. Before coming to Washington he returned to Emory University School of Medicine as an assistant professor and medical director of the Orthopedic Clinic at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, teaching resident doctors in training. He received his Bachelor and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of Michigan and completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Emory University.

Congressman Price and his wife, Elizabeth, reside in Roswell, GA. They have one son.

Monday General Session

Our general session on Monday morning will feature noted political commentators Dana Perino and Donna Brazile.

Dana Perino is a former White House press secretary, political commentator and co-host of Fox’s “The Five. “She brings a unique viewpoint from her time inside the White House, providing the insight into the current political climate that will give a clear picture of the changes to come. As only the second female press secretary in U.S. history (and the first female Republican) and one of the most widely respected members of President Bush’s senior staff, she is an expert in crafting and communicating key messages under stressful conditions and a keen analyst of the latest political news. Perino worked as a journalist before turning to politics, covering the State Assembly of Illinois for local CBS. She is a former commentariat for The Washington Post, POLITICO and National Review.

Donna Brazile is a renowned political strategist and commentator, and vice chair of Voter Registration and Participation, Democratic National Committee. She is also the author of the best-selling memoir Cooking with Grease: Stirring the Pots in American Politics, an adjunct professor at Georgetown University, a syndicated newspaper columnist for Universal Uclick, a columnist for Ms. Magazine, and an on-air contributor to CNN, NPR, and ABC, where she regularly appears on “This Week.”

There will be $50 processing fee per registered member for cancellations received by May 8th; a $75 processing fee per registered member for cancellations from May 9th to May 23rd; and no refunds for cancellations received after May 23rd.
